Diner Styled Pasta
Vegetarian diner styled pasta made with passata. Hearty enough to keep you full.
Ingredients
- 1 tbspn oil
- ยฝ tspn chilli powder or cayenne pepper
- 80 gm onion (prepared weight)
- 100 ml passata
- ยผ tspn salt (see note 1)
- 200 ml G2 sauce one
- 50 gm meat free mince
- 100 gm pasta (see note 2)

Chop the onion.

Heat the oil in a flameproof casserole, add the onion and salt and fry for 10 - over a low heat, stirring regularly.

Add the meat free mince and chilli powder and cook, stirring constantly, for .

Add the passata and C41 Sauce No 1, cover, and simmer, stirring regularly, for . (The lid can be removed after to allow the sauce to reduce to the desired consistency. A little water can be added if needed.)

Using a saucepan, after the sauce has cooked for , add the pasta to salted boiling water and cook for . (or follow the instructions on the packet.)

When the pasta has cooked, drain and stir into the sauce.
