100 ml oil ยท 750 gm onions (prepared weight) ยท 1 tspn salt ยท 1 tbspn turmeric ยท 1 tspn ground coriander ยท ยฝ tspn ground cumin ยท +8 more

  • Makes approx 20 ml
  • 1 tspn cardamom seeds
  • ยฝ tspn ground cinnamon
  • 1 tspn cloves
  • ยฝ tspn black peppercorns
  • ยพ tspn cumin seeds
  • 1/8 tspn nutmeg

Method

  1. 1

    Remove the seeds from sufficient cardamom pods to make 1 tspn.

    Grind the cardamom seeds, cloves, cumin seeds and peppercorns to a powder in a pestle and mortar.

  3. 3

    In a small bowl mix all the ingredients together.

    Store in an airtight container in a cool and dark place.
