Alabama White Sauce
A tangy, peppery mayonnaise-based barbecue sauce β unique to North Alabama and made for smoked chicken.
Ingredients
- 180 ml mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp horseradish (optional)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- Β½ tsp salt
- Β½ tsp garlic granules
- ΒΌ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
Method

Whisk all the ingredients together until smooth.

Refrigerate for at least to let the flavours marry.

Stir again before using.
Notes
- Keeps for up to a week in the fridge.
- Loosen with a little extra vinegar if you want a thinner dunking consistency.
